Each year, all the Loch Ness Monster sightings reported to Nessie’s Fan Club are considered for "THE BEST NESSIE SIGHTING OF THE YEAR PRIZE"* awarded by the WILLIAM HILL ORGANISATION.

The prize was awarded each March (discontinued) after all the sightings from the year before have been collated and assessed by a panel of distinguished monster experts (including the President of this Fan Club and the Webmaster of the Nessie on the Net! site)

Even if you haven’t been lucky enough to spot Nessie, you can still place a bet with William Hill who offer odds of 500/1 of the Natural History Museum confirming the existence of Nessie within one year of the bet being placed.

*All entries must be on the official sightings report form as issued by the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club. Full details of the William Hill Award rules are issued with every sightings report form requested and are also available from the fan club.

Rules

1. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of receipt.
2. No entries can be returned.
3. All entries must be signed.
4. William Hill and the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club reserve the right not to make an award if in the opinion of the judges no entry is found meritworthy.
5. The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
6. William Hill and the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club reserve the right to use any entries, including photographs or video footage, for publicity purposes.
7. The award will be announced in March each year, for the twelve month period 1 January to 31 December preceding.
8. For the purposes of the award, each entry will be judged to pertain to the award year as at the date it arrives at the Official Loch Ness Monster Fan Club.
